Welcome Home, Tucker!

Say hello to Tucker, the newest (and fluffiest) addition to our family. A long-haired, soft-coated German Shepherd with the build of a tank and the heart of a healer, Tucker joins us not just as a companion, but as the gentle successor to our beloved Cynder, who left us in May of 2023. Strangely, beautifully… there are moments where we catch a glimmer of her in him. Whether it's a familiar tilt of the head or the way he leans in for comfort, it's like a piece of her found its way back to us and occasionally it brings tears that both hurt and humble the soul.

Tucker has settled in seamlessly alongside his sister, Ciri. The two share a bond that’s both playful and respectful, play fights spark here and there (usually ending in a tumble of paws and fur), but both respond instantly to command. They understand the rhythm of our home: work when it’s time to work, and play when the space allows. It’s a joy watching them balance loyalty, energy, and discipline with such ease.

Now our children have two body guards that are always firmly planted at their heels, and with two fur mistles ready to defend and protect their family, this new addition is only a further assurance that safety is only a whistle blow and finger snap away!

Our home certainly feels fuller now. Tucker brings warmth, laughter, and a quiet strength that’s hard to put into words. We couldn’t be more grateful for this next chapter, and for the legacy of love that continues through him.
